The world's first safety and work shoes with the OEKO-TEX® label 

As a manufacturer of safety and work shoes with our own European production facilities, we don’t just pay lip service when it comes to sustainability with fair production. We at Stuco already place a major emphasis on sustainable and environmentally friendly materials, as well as suppliers who meet these criteria, during the development of our shoes.

In addition to being certified according to ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 9001 (quality), Amfori BSCI (social) and EcoVadis (sustainability), we have decided to also get certified at product level with the OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD label. Certification was successful and several models now have the OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD label and other models are in the process of being certified.The label represents a further guarantee of sustainability, quality and safety for our customers.        

Sustainable from A to Z 

It takes over 250 work processes and more than 60 individual components to produce a comfortable, high-quality pair of safety shoes. The manufacturing process for some materials, such as tanning leather or dyeing yarn, requires the use of certain chemicals. The OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD label indicates that the product was made using materials that do not contain any chemicals known to be harmful to health. We have had every single component, including the non-textile ones, from the leather to the rubber and the threads to the individual eyelets, laboratory tested by OEKO-TEX® for harmful chemical residues.
